Scoliosis-SpecificPrograms
Realign’s scoliosis treatment program is based on PSSE (Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis-Specific Exercises), widely known as the Schroth Method from Germany.
These sessions are conducted by physiotherapists who have undergone certified training from internationally recognized institutions.
This is a 1:1 private exercise program conducted in a fully equipped private rehabilitation studio, allowing clients to focus entirely on their training in a calm and supportive environment just like in leading rehab centers abroad.
The program begins with a comprehensive assessment performed by a physiotherapist, including:
Detailed postural and photographic evaluation
Review of X-ray images to identify the Cobb angle
Scoliometer measurement to assess the Angle of Trunk Rotation (ATR)
Based on these findings, a personalized exercise plan is created, consisting of:
3D self-correction training – teaching patients to actively align their spine into the most neutral position possible.
Rotational breathing training – a key element of the PSSE/Schroth method, helping reduce rib hump and improve chest expansion.
Strength and coordination exercises – integrating limb movements while maintaining spinal alignment to build strength, symmetry, and improve posture.
Patient and parent education – covering self-care guidelines, precautions, and daily posture awareness.
ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training – teaching proper posture during daily activities such as standing, walking, sitting, and sleeping, customized according to each person’s curve type to prevent progression.
Who is it for?
This program is for children (8+) and adults diagnosed with mild to severe scoliosis (Cobb angle ≥10°).
The main goals are to stop curve progression and, in some cases, reduce the Cobb angle — with results varying by individual.
Even if you’ve never exercised before or have visible asymmetry, pain, or muscle imbalance, you can safely join PSSE (Physiotherapeutic Scoliosis-Specific Exercises) under professional supervision.
Beyond curve correction, PSSE helps improve posture, balance, and body symmetry, reducing pain and enhancing quality of life — often helping individuals avoid surgery through active, evidence-based care.
